Let me tell you something. Apples nor pears have to be the prettiest to be the best tasting. Just be sure to wash & cut out the bad spots. I cut them into fourths before I peel them.
Sooo, I continued with my goal of making Apple Crisp for dessert tonight with the exception that I replaced half of the apples with pears.
Crock Pot Apple/Pear Crisp
Ingredients
6 medium apples (peeled cored & sliced)
1 t cinnamon
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c Old Fashioned oats
1/2 c ground graham crackers
1 stick melted butter
Combine the fruit & brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle oats
& crackers on top.
Pour butter over mixture & mix thoroughly.
Pour mixture into a small crock pot. Cover & cook 1 1/2 hours on high or 3 hours on low.
Serves 4-6
