Napa Cabbage & Updates

Right now the Napa Cabbage or also known as 
Chinese Cabbage are heading beautifully
in the garden.

Although the Farmer's Market's will be coming to a
close soon we will still have fresh healthy food
available for you, your family and friends.

So be sure to send us your email address to
be added to our online market as
we continue to grow throughout the winter.
Currently we have pork,  eggs, kale,
napa cabbage, peppers,
radishes, potatoes....
Presently we are planning on
making deliveries once or twice a month
in Edwardsville &
Springfield, IL.

IL State Fairgrounds!!

Napa Cabbage

You can use Napa Cabbage many ways.  A few
would be to use it as you would regular head 
cabbage in cabbage rolls or cole slaw or use in 
place of lettuce in vegetable salad. You 
can use it in soups & stews, stir fry it, shred it & 
use in egg rolls.  Today I'm going to 
share a salad recipe.

Chinese Cabbage Salad

Ingredients:
1 head of napa cabbage, shredded
2-3 carrots, shredded
1 small sweet onion, diced
2 T sesame seeds
1 3oz package of ramen noodles
1/2 cup sliced almonds

Spread sesame seeds, ramen noodles & almonds on a baking sheet.  Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees 'til lightly browned... approximately 15 minutes.

Mix browned ingredients with the rest of the above ingredients in a large bowl.


Dressing ingredients:
1/4 cup rice vinegar
3 T sesame oil
9 T olive oil
2 T Braggs liquid aminos
3 T organic cane or beet sugar (or sweetener of your choice)

Mix dressing ingredients in a small bowl & toss with salad.
